For ten years, Amy Munce has been working to help individuals and couples empower themselves and achieve desired change in their lives.  She believes in a direct yet compassionate approach to therapy, which stems from her extensive training and experience practicing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Act and Commitment Therapy, therapy for high-conflict couples, and behavioral interventions for eating disordered clients.

Amy focuses on utilizing evidence-based therapies, self care, mindfulness, skills training, and the client's personal value system in order to nurture hope and help clients achieve their goals.

Amy Munce graduated from Creighton University with her BA in Psychology.  After moving to Kansas City, she pursued her MA in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.  She began her career at the Lilac Center, focusing on treating individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety, personality and eating disorders.

Through continued education, experience, and training, Amy Munce has expanded her professional scope to include pre/postnatal, career, sexual issues, and interpersonal relationship counseling.
