Kindra Jackel has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004. She has a Masters Degree in Counseling from Webster University and has completed graduate work in Human Resources Development with a focus on training and adult education. She enjoys working with adults, adolescents and families. Prior to making the career change to mental health, Kindra worked in human resources helping employees with job-related issues.
Over the past twenty years, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, beginning her career providing parenting education and in-home therapy to struggling families. She then gained experience at Synergy Services, working with victims of domestic violence, abused children, and at-risk youth, both in residential and outpatient settings. In addition, she worked with children and their families in a community mental health setting.
For the past fourteen years, she has focused on treating individuals struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder, mood, and anxiety disorders. Kindra Jackel has extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is a Certified DBT provider in the state of Missouri.
Kindra uses DBT and mindfulness techniques to help clients manage their emotions and relationships. She has also completed Level II training in EMDR, which she uses to help individuals move past trauma and overcome negative beliefs. She also enjoys working with career and phase of life issues.
Kindra approaches her work with humor and compassion and strives to tailor treatment to meet the needs of the individual.
