Leah graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors in Family Studies/Human Services, with a professional emphasis in Psychology. This was the foundation for a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, which she earned at Friends University. She is trained in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, also using Structural Family techniques and experiential therapies.
She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families, helping them to manage their mental health and navigate their relationships with themselves and others. Relationships are an integral part of our lives; whether we are single, dating, engaged, newlyweds, life-partners, etc., our relationships impact us and our well-being. She treats people with compassion and caring in an environment that is accepting and safe. With an all-are-welcome approach, Leah has experience treating, grief, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, trauma, and a wide array of relational problems.
Leah encourages those she works with to use values and mindfulness to help guide treatmen to ensure they are participating in the changes they want to see in their lives and relationships.
